From 1984 to 1988, he collaborated with Lieutenant Caramel in the production of several compilations (Pacific 231, Minamata, Victor Nubla, Controlled Bleeding, Vivanza, Merzbow...), developing an industrial music within the group "Für eine Nacht" which he founded in 1985. Very influenced by the New Wave, he moved away from experimentation to found in 1987 the group "John Doe" in which he played synthesizers and samplers. Then, a chance of life, leads him to take the controls of the famous Club of Grenoble Le Magic, at the beginning of the Nineties where he discovers the trade of DJ and the organization of his first Raves with Laurent Garnier, whom he will introduce him to the House Music, which will be a detonator.
He created the Trance-Mission association in 1992 (Parties, Club, Fanzine, Compilations, Shop...) and thanks to his multiple events, he participated in the blossoming of the rich Rhône Alpine scene, with Miloch, Kiko, Agoria, Miss Kittin, The Hacker, Oxia, Dj Ralph, P. Moore, or even Alex K...
In 1995, he became producer and label manager with the successive creation of Futuria Production and the label Sekence (Phunky Data, Lake Soul...) the following year. First license, and first member representing the Electro scene at Prodiss in 1995, he participated in the foundation of the Technopol association in 1996 with Henri Maurel (Radio FG) Eric Morand (F Com), Paolo Fernandes (Coda Mag) Josselin Hirsh (Les Pingouins)... He was a pioneer in the organisation of major French Techno events such as Hexagona at the Printemps de Bourges, Métropole Techno at Bercy, the Amplitudes Festival in Annecy, or the Raves Futuria at the Zenith in Paris and the Summum in Grenoble. He is also a programmer for festivals such as Soliday's, Midem, PurMix or clubs such as Théâtro in Marrakech, Gaodi in Moscow, or Jimmy'z in Monte-Carlo.
Since 1991, he has programmed the main DJs who have made the history of electronic music, such as Laurent Garnier, Jeff Mills, Sven Vaeth, Carl Cox, Kevin Saunderson, Bob Sinclar, DerricK May, Richie Hawtin, Marco Carola, Armand Van Helden and David Guetta. He has also produced concerts by Moby in Paris, Prodigy in Geneva, Tiesto in Moscow and Garbage, Cj Bolland and Trans Global Underground in Annecy. Until 2019, he was Marc Cerrone's production manager.
The year 2020, marked by the Covid 19, was a time of deep questioning during which he worked with his journalist friend Joachim Barbier to write his "Tech- no journey" in the forthcoming book Technomania. This period was also marked by a need to return to the origins, by taking up the instruments, keyboard, table and turntables. Christophe Lyard (Crys L) prepares the release of his next single "This is Berlin" and made his first Dj Set on April 22, 2022 in Lyon with Scan X, who had made the happiness of his first evening Futuria in 1992. The circle was buckled... He began since June, a residence on Club FG, and occurred this summer in Ibiza (Le Vrai), Lyon (Terminal), Annecy (Téléphone Rose), and Geneva (Village du Soir).

Depuis plus de 30 ans, Christophe Lyard est producteur de spectacles et manager de label, au travers de la société Futuria Production et du label Sekence (Phunky Data, Lake Soul, Kiko...). Musicien accompli, il se forme au studio Collectif & Cie où il découvre la synthèse sonore dans le giron de Philippe Blanchard (alias Lieutenant Caramel), et Bernard Donzelle. Il y diffuse sa première pièce de musique concrète au célèbre compositeur, Pierre Schaeffer en 1984.

De 1984 à 1988, il collabore avec Lieutenant Caramel à la réalisation de plusieurs compilations (Pacific 231, Minamata, Victor Nubla, Le Syndicat, Controlled Bleeding, Vivanza, Merzbow...), et développe alors une musique industrielle au sein du groupe « Für eine Nacht » qu’il fonde en 1985. Très influencé par la New Wave, il s’écarte de l’expérimentation pour fonder en 1987 le groupe « John Doe » dans lequel il évolue au synthé, et aux samplers. Puis, un hasard de la vie, l’amène à prendre les commandes du Club réputé de Grenoble Le Magic, au début des années 1990 où il découvre le métier de DJ et l’organisation de ses premières Raves avec Laurent Garnier, qu’il lui fera découvrir la House Music, qui sera un détonateur.
Il crée l’association Trance-Mission dès 1992 (Soirées, Club, Fanzine, Compilations, Shop...) et grâce à ses multiples évènements, il participe à l’éclosion de la riche scène Rhône Alpine, avec Miloch, Kiko, Agoria, Miss Kittin, The Hacker, Oxia, Dj Ralph, P. Moore, ou encore Alex K...
En 1995, Il devient alors producteur et manager de label avec la création successive de Futuria Production et du label Sekence (Phunky Data, Lake Soul, Kiko...) l’année suivante. Premiére licence, et premier membre représentant la scène Electro au Prodiss en 1995, il participe à la fondation de l’association Technopol en 1996 avec Henri Maurel (Radio FG) Eric Morand (F Com), Paolo Fernandes (Coda Mag) Josselin Hirsh (Les Pingouins)... Il sera un pionnier dans l’organisation des grandes messes Techno françaises, avec des évènements comme Hexagona au Printemps de Bourges, Métropole Techno à Bercy, le Festival Amplitudes à Annecy, ou encore les Raves Futuria au Zenith de Paris et au Summum de Grenoble. Il est également programmateur pour des festivals comme Soliday’s, le Midem, PurMix ou des clubs comme le Théâtro de Marrakech, le Gaodi de Moscou, ou encore le Jimmy’z de Monte-Carlo.
Depuis 1991, il aura programmé les principaux Dj’s qui ont fait l’histoire des Musiques électroniques, comme Laurent Garnier, Jeff Mills, Sven Vaeth, Carl Cox, Kevin Saunderson, Bob Sinclar, Derrick May, Richie Hawtin, Marco Carola ou encore Armand Van Helden ou plus clubbing comme David Guetta, Calvin Harris ou Bob Sinclar. Il a produit également les concerts de Moby à Paris, Prodigy à Genève, Tiesto à Moscou ou encore Garbage, Fun Lovin Criminals, Cj Bolland et Trans Global Underground à Annecy. Jusqu’en 2019, il a été le directeur de production de Marc Cerrone.
L’année 2020, marque avec le Covid 19, un coup d’arrêt, est le moment d’une profonde remise en question pendant laquelle il s’emploie avec son ami journaliste Joachim Barbier à la rédaction de son « parcours Techno » dans le livre à paraître Technomania. Cette période est également marquée par un besoin de revenir aux origines, en reprenant les instruments, clavier, table et platines. Christophe Lyard (Crys L) prépare ainsi la sortie de son prochain single « This is Berlin » et a réalisé son premier Dj Set le 22 avril 2022 à Lyon au côté de Scan X, qui avait fait le bonheur de sa première soirée Futuria en 1992. La boucle était bouclée... Il a entamé depuis juin, une résidence sur Club FG, et s’est produit cet été à Ibiza (Le Vrai), Lyon (Terminal), Annecy (Téléphone Rose), et Genève (Village du Soir).
